Hello everyone!

About us

We at Studenten bilden Schüler e.V. have set ourselves the goal of strengthening educational equality for all, regardless of income, migration history or other factors, by providing free tutoring for children from financially or socially disadvantaged families.

The task

We from the site management take care of all matters that arise within the association’s activities in Aachen; there are currently seven of us. To this end, we are divided internally into three different groups, all of which are always looking for support.

Student area

The student area is responsible for conducting onboarding interviews with interested future tutors and handling the placement (including the process of forming tutoring pairs). We currently have two students in this area and are always looking to expand :)

Pupils area

The student area is responsible for staying in contact with social institutions, families or other institutions and registering new students in the system. There are also two of us here and we are happy to welcome new interested parties.

Communication department

The Communications department is mainly responsible for communication with the Federal Executive Board, local partners (for example, but not exclusively, RWTH/FH Aachen, the AStA or faculties) and sponsors or supporters. Recruiting new sponsors is also part of this task. There are three of us here, but more hands are always helpful.

General

In general, in addition to the tasks specific to the area, the tasks also include coordination with the other site managers, planning events for the tutors and students as well as joint activities.

**The workload is about 1-2 hours per week.

Contact

If this task appeals to you and you would like to work together with other volunteers, you are welcome to contact us via the contact form on our website or directly by e-mail. There you can also immediately indicate the area that interests you the most.
