RWTH Aachen University is a German beacon for start-up culture and deep tech spin-offs, where science, entrepreneurship and society are closely linked and research results systematically mature into socially relevant innovations via spin-offs.

As a subsidiary of RWTH Aachen University and RWTH Aachen University Hospital, RWTH Innovation is the university transfer unit and central interface between research, industry and society. We support inventors at RWTH and UKA throughout the entire innovation process, from the initial idea to market-ready technology. We support students and scientists in founding their start-ups. Within the framework of strategic partnerships, we give companies direct access to the research and innovation landscape of RWTH Aachen University. In this environment, the entrepreneurship team at RWTH Innovation organises tailor-made start-up programmes and maintains a support network consisting of experts, mentors and investors, among others. Students, researchers and employees are mobilised and supported in turning their ideas and research results into reality and founding innovative companies.
