Aachen Ranks Among Germany’s Top Four Startup Cities

Aachen is officially one of Germany’s leading startup cities. The latest Next Generation Report by Startup-Verband and startupdetector ranks Aachen #4 in Germany for new startups per capita, with 18.3 new startups per 100,000 inhabitants.

This makes Aachen the smallest city among Germany’s Top 4 startup hubs. The broader ecosystem is gaining momentum as well, particularly in AI and industrial technologies, areas where the Collective Incubator's university-driven community has demonstrated excellence for years.

These results reflect years of ecosystem building. Aachen combines world-class engineering and research with ambitious students, founders, startup support, and infrastructure that helps turn technological ideas into companies.
